Full Body Blitz Day 7: The eyes have it with Avon Supershock Gel Liner

If you read a lot of beauty blogs, you can’t have missed the hype surrounding Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner. Bargain beauty finds like this which appeal almost universally to everyone who tries them are few and far between, but it’s safe to say this baby really does live up to its reputation. Coming in at £6 RRP (though right now it’s down to £3 and is almost always part of some kind of offer) this liner makes such an impression because of it’s super-soft texture, beautiful glide-on application, and serious lasting power…

This is not a brand new product, but the most recent Supershock eyeliners are part of Avon’s must-have ‘Luxe Lace’ collection and come in limited edition black packaging with a pink lacy print. They come in black and silver (I’m obviously wearing the black above), whilst the original supershock liners come in black, bronze and khaki.

As a huge fan of black liner, I’m always on the lookout for one that’ll do the job quickly and easily. Quite often I’ll go to work wearing just mascara, and add black liner for a bit of drama if I’m heading out afterwards. Carting around a pot of gel liner and a brush isn’t always practical, but I can throw this pencil in the bottom of my bag and not worry if I lose it or crush it, and it gives a very similar result to my favourite pot liners with a lot less fuss It’s slightly more difficult to get a sharp line with this than using an angled brush and a thicker gel product – but one of the joys of this liner is that it’s super-smudgeable before it dries (perfect for smudgy, smokey eyes) but it stays put like nothing else once it’s set. Just remember to keep it sharp if you like hard, defined lines.
