Forget the fashion, the one thing everyone was talking about at the Clements Riberio show at LFW in February was the popping, punchy pink lips sported by the models. And we were tres jolie to discover they were the work of high street beauty brand Bourjois, who have just released Colorissimo lip palettes used to create the looks.
Available in four different colour combinations, there’s a palette to suit every skin type and every ocassion. The creamy formula glides onto lips with ease whilst the trio of hues means you can go from a baby soft shade to bold statement in mere minutes.
Priced at £8.99, available nationwide now.

The sun is shining, the toes are out and begging for a pretty new colour. My new fave thing – or things – has to be Lancome Vernis in Love Nail Colour, perfect for my despo toes. I was lucky enough to be sent a range of shades (there are a whopping 20 to choose from) and I can confirm that yes, they’re some of the most ideal nail shades on offer. I say ideal because they’re colours I have actually been searching for forever – from the luxurious navy blue of Bleu de Flore (above) to the deep lilac of Violette Coquette. The bottle is a new design which fits perfectly into your hand with the brush said to be ‘mistake free’ – I covered a nail in just one stroke. The finish is beautifully glossy, even without a top coat, thanks to the ‘micro mirrors’ in each bottle and is pretty resilient too. Ar £12 a bottle, I’m in love, are you?

It’s not quite as in your face as the likes of model Charlotte Free or Katy Perry, but even the usually classically coiffed January Jones has joined the pink lady brigade with these pale pink candyfloss highlights.
The Mad Men actress debuted her new ‘do at Paleyfest 2012 in Beverley Hills last night, where she was seen chatting to co-stars Jon Hamm and Kiernan Shipka. Betty Draper wouldn’t have any of this, but what do you think?

Ever since Black Swan pirouetted into cinemas, we’ve been obsessed with the fine art of ballet. And we can keep on obsessing with the new additions to OPI’s soft shades range, five new neutral colours and one sparkler inspired by the elegant and whimsical world of the New York City Ballet. Launching April, you’ll be en pointe with Barre My Soul beige, Pirouette My Whistle silver and Care To Danse? lilac. Now, where did I put my tutu?

Washing that man right out of your hair is so, well, 1950s; heed Katy Perry‘s advice and keep things fresh by changing up your hair colour every few days. Ok, maybe not quite so often but you’ve got to admire KP’s constant change-up. Whilst she’s rocking cobalt blue hair IRL, she stayed in the pink long enough to shoot ghd’s new gritty mermaid esque Air Hairdryer campaign. Do you think Ariel is jealous?

I’ll start this review on a pedantic note. The colour of Glam Shine 6h lipgloss I tried was labelled ‘Oriental Fuschia’. It was part of a gift set that came with a £15 spend in on L’Oreal products in Boots just before Christmas, and I assume this particular colour was included because L’Oreal realised they’d spelled ‘Fuchsia’ wrong (ha!) and needed to shift the stock, as it’s not available any more. Always Pink is probably the closest dupe.
But onto the gloss itself. You may recognise the Glam Shine range as it’s currently being hawked by ‘national treasure’ Cheryl Cole in every prime-time ad break. It has a very distinctive applicator – L’Oreal say it’s heart-shaped, but I have taken to thinking of this as the ‘vulva’ lipgloss. Yep, try to get that image out of your head now!
Jokes aside, I actually really rate the applicator. It’s soft and spongy and covers the lips quickly and neatly, and is so well-shaped you can probably touch-up without using a mirror (a la Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes).
