What is the difference between the Little Beauty Box and Luxury Samples?
The Little Beauty Box contains small samples (usually sachets or small vials) so you can test out a product a couple of times to get a feel for it. These are provided free of charge – we only ask that you pay a small contribution of £1.50 towards postage and packing.
The luxury samples are much larger – similar to travel size products - and allow you to try products for longer. Because they’re bigger and more expensive to send, we have to charge a little more for them.
Why can I get the samples in the Little Beauty Box free of charge?
Beauty brands want you to try out their products. They believe that if you use one of their samples just once, you will see how good they are and want to use them again. But they understand that you need to know how good the product is before you will consider buying it. Giving you a beauty sample to try out at home is the best way to introduce you to their product. Your feedback is invaluable to them, so by giving feedback once you have tried a sample, you will be helping these brands develop better beauty products in the future.
Why do I have to pay £1.50 by text message for the Little Beauty Box samples?
In order for us to send you free beauty samples we ask that you pay a small contribution towards the postage and packing costs. At present we can only accept payments by text through a UK provider. We will not share your phone number or use it to send you any messages you didn’t ask for, we use it purely to process your order.
Why can I only pay by mobile phone for a Little Beauty Box?
Beauty companies have agreed to make these beauty samples available to our users, but understandably they want to make sure that everyone gets a sample only once. The most personal thing anyone possesses is a mobile phone, so if we make sure that each product can only be ordered once per mobile phone number, then we can ensure it is only ordered once per person. The cost is also so nominal that processing it by credit card / paypal just wouldn’t be feasible.
Why do you have a different checkout format for different parts of the website?
There are two reasons for this. Firstly, though we have introduced new sampling and shopping options, we didn’t want to change our existing services unnecessarily, so we felt it was important to make sure the process for ordering a beauty box remained the same as it always has been. Secondly for orders of a larger value – luxury samples, personal shop and private sales – we know we can’t ask you to pay by text, so the site requires a separate checkout system for this.
What size beauty samples can I expect?
It depends very much by brand what size the beauty samples in the Little Beauty Box are. Sometimes there are miniature beauty samples in small tubes or vials, at other times samples may be sachets similar to those given over the counter in store or stuck in magazines. We will tell you the exact sizes on all the product descriptions.
Luxury samples are larger – closer to the ‘travel size’ bottles you find in hotels and gift sets, giving you at least 4 or 5 days to try the product, if not much longer. Our luxury samples are also great for taking on holiday!
All the samples we offer are smaller than full size retail products. We will try to give you enough of the product for you to get a good feeling of what the product is like in case you want to purchase it in the future, but please read the descriptions carefully to avoid disappointment.
How long will it take for me to receive my order?
You will receive your Little Beauty Box by post within 5 working days of placing your order. The Little Beauty Box is a small package (approx. 2.5 cm tall) which should fit through a standard UK letterbox. However through experience we know that not every letterbox will be able to accommodate the package. If you are not certain that it will fit and you may not be home to receive it, we suggest you give us an alternative delivery address (for example your place of work).
Luxury Samples and Collections are sent via Royal Mail and should be with you within 5 working days. If you are not at home when the package is delivered, it will be taken to the collection office where you will have to pick it up. Again, if you are not certain that you will be home to receive the parcel we suggest you give us an alternative delivery address.
The YOU Beauty Advent Calendar will arrive within 5-7 working days from date of order.

Why can’t I order a sample that I know is on your site?
There are a couple of reasons this may occur. Firstly we only have a limited supply of beauty samples so we may simply have run out. Secondly we select beauty samples based on the information you have given us and match you with the best samples available. Generally, the more we know about you, the more beauty samples we can recommend to you. We are constantly working to add new samples on the site so if on occasion you cannot see a product you would like to sample, do come back as we update each category regularly.
How many beauty samples can I order?
You can order one Little Beauty Box per month which contains a maximum of three samples, one per category. When you have selected three beauty samples in total you are directed to the checkout page. You can only order each product sample once.
You can order as many luxury samples, Collection boxes or YOU Beauty Advent Calendars as you wish. As with the Little Beauty Box, once you’ve tried the luxury samples you will be prompted to provide feedback so we can ensure we continue to offer you relevant and enticing new samples.
Why do you need so much information in my beauty profile?
Everyone is different. We all have a different skin type, hair type and prefer to use or apply beauty products in different ways. Therefore it is important for us to understand what your preferences are and know your own individual beauty profile to ensure that we can offer beauty samples that are best suited to you. The beauty companies we work with also want to understand their customers better so that they can use your feedback to improve their beauty products.
What will you do with my information?
We use your information to build a beauty profile so that we can offer you the beauty samples that are individually suited to you. In addition we use this information to present you with offers and promotions we think you will be interested in. You can request that we remove you from our database and stop using your information at any time. You can read more about this in the terms & conditions and the privacy policy. We will never share your data with a third party, unless you have specifically given us permission to do so.
How often will you send me emails?
Three weeks after we have sent your beauty samples we might email you and ask for your feedback on the beauty samples you have received. We also email you if we have any promotions we think you will be interested in or to let you know about new beauty samples or boxes which are available. If you do not want to receive any emails please go to your personal details page and update your information to state you do not want to receive communication.
Where can you ship my beauty samples or products?
Beauty samples can only be shipped to UK addresses, and only if a UK mobile phone number is supplied. We are currently working on making this service available in other countries.
Can I track my order?
If you have ordered luxury samples, the YOU Beauty Advent Calendar or Collections, click ‘personal shop’ and then ‘my orders’ to see the status of your order.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer this facility for Beauty Boxes.
We will send you an email when we receive your order and we guarantee that we will handle your order within 2 working days. If you don’t receive your order within 10 working days do not hesitate to send an email to member_support@latestinbeauty.com. Please put your username, mobile phone number, date you placed your order, order number if you have one and your delivery address in the email and we will investigate the matter straight away.
What happens to the feedback I leave?
Anything you leave in the comments box will be published on Latest in Beauty in the reviews section, accompanied by your nickname. The rest of the feedback is collated with responses from other members and presented to the brand who provided the sample. This is so they can learn from your comments and produce better products in the future. We don’t publish or share personal details with brands, we only collect together the responses to multiple choice questions and share general results.
What happens when I click the blue Facebook ‘like’ button?
If you choose to ‘like’ a product or page, it will be published to your news feed on Facebook with a link back to Latest in Beauty. If you change your mind about liking a product or page on our site you can remove it at any time by clicking ‘unlike’ or removing the post directly on Facebook.

How can I change my password?
Go to your My Account page, enter a new password and then confirm the password by entering it again. All you need to do then is click save and your password is changed.
What do I do if I have forgotten my password?
Go to the sign in page and click the ‘Problems?’ link (under the log in button). Follow the steps given and your password will be re-sent to you.
How can I be removed from the database?
If you no longer want to receive any beauty samples or offers, we can remove you from our database. Please send an email to member_support@latestinbeauty.com and put your username and mobile phone number in the subject line. We would appreciate it if you could tell us why you wish to unsubscribe; a few words is sufficient.
I have not received my order. What do I do?
We aim to dispatch your order within 2 working days. Royal Mail guarantees that the packages will arrive within 10 working days; although we all know that sometimes the delivery can take a little bit longer. Please do accept our sincere apologies if this does happen.
If after 11 working days you have still not received your order please send an email to member_support@latestinbeauty.com with ‘Missing Order’ in the subject line and let us know the date that you placed your order plus your order number. We will chase this up straight away.
How long does it take before I receive my Little Beauty Box checkout code via text?
Your code should normally be with you within 1 minute. Unfortunately, the code occasionally takes a few hours to arrive. This is due to the delivery mechanism of your mobile provider. You shouldn’t worry as your code is valid for 24 hours and you can return to the site and finalize your checkout at any time before the code expires. If you do not receive your code please contact us on member_support@latestinbeauty.com referring to the mobile phone number you used (please write it in the subject line) and tell us which network you are with.
I have not received my Little Beauty Box checkout code via text, what do I do?
We have seen a few examples where the code did not reach the sender. Reasons for this can include an error in the mobile provider sending mechanism, not enough calling credit on a pre-paid card, or the inbox of your mobile phone being full and unable to receive any more messages. Just drop us a short email on member_support@latestinbeauty.com referring to the mobile phone number you used (please write it in the subject line) and we will have a look what has gone wrong.
I entered my checkout code, but the website says it is invalid. What has happened?
Your checkout code can only be used once for an order and needs to be used within 24 hours of requesting it. After this time, the code becomes invalid. If you have used your code already for your Little Beauty Box, you will not be able to use it again. This means that if you also want to take advantage of one of our Exclusive Offer promotions you will need two separate checkout codes which you can request on the Checkout page. In a few cases we have seen that the text message that we sent to the mobile phone provider for delivery to your handset has been delayed by 24 hours. If that is the case please send an email to member_support@latestinbeauty.com with your mobile phone number so we can investigate and reactivate your checkout code.

No, the blog is for anyone who has a passion for beauty and wants to find out more about beauty trends, new samples and industry news. It also offers extra product reviews, industry news and loads of competitions.
Do I need to use my membership log in if I want to comment on posts on the Latest in Beauty blog?
No as this content is available to everyone we do not ask you to sign in with your account details. So that our blog followers can interact with each other we do ask you to give yourself a name when posting a comment. We also ask for your email but this will not be visible on your post.
