We all know that treating yourself, or a loved one, to gorgeous beauty products can really boost your confidence and make you feel great. Even more so when you know that your purchase is helping other people look good and feel better, too.

Our TWO new Do Good, Feel Good boxes in collaboration with Look Good Feel Better put the spotlight on 10 best in the business brands (SIX full-size) that are doing good. Worth over £112, choose from Repair or Renew, featuring one of two full-size Clinique moisturisers. A percentage of profits will be donated to LGFB to support their virtual workshops. For only £28, there’s no better way to donate and feel good.

We caught up with Look Good Feel Better Ambassador, Charlotte Whiting, to discover what she thought about her box and the products inside. Gain insight into the importance of the charity and how you can get involved and donate to aid their virtual workshops.

So, what did Charlotte think of the products? Let’s find out.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm
Not only does this balm smell divine but it feels like a professional facial treatment in a little pot. I used this balm before cleansing with a warm, damp cloth and, oh my goodness, I don’t think my skin has ever felt so good. I was a little apprehensive while applying it, as my oily skin tends not to like products like this, but I was pleasantly surprised at how matte my skin looked after.

Benefit They’re Real Mascara
As my eyelashes have returned in full force following treatment, they loved the “They’re Real” mascara. A plastic brush is a must-have for me, bringing minimal clumping and even distribution. Benefit’s mascara did all of this and more, with bristles at the end of the wand reaching those shy, smaller lashes.

Clinique iD™ Dramatically Different™ Hydrating Jelly + Clinique iD™: Active Cartridge Concentrate™ for Compromised Skin
I felt like a chemist while putting this together! I’m quite particular about what I put on my oily skin, but this hydrating jelly surpassed all my expectations – it’s non-greasy and intensely hydrating. I used this on clean skin after washing or removing makeup. I was gifted other Clinique products from a LGFB workshop, and they never fail to impress!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
As a chronic lip licker and biter, my lips are almost always chapped or cut. This “Rich Girl Red” glides on beautifully and hydrates so well. Applied over some lip liner, it stayed put for hours.

Rimmel Jelly blush (one of two shades)
The “Melon Madness” shade was perfect for me. I like that it’s a jelly rather than powder or liquid as it felt easier to control and work onto my skin. A little hint of shimmer gives a really subtle highlighting effect which, as someone with oily skin, is fabulous as it gently highlights without making my skin look shiny or oily.

LGFB Angled Blending Brush
I’m so glad to get my hands on one of these, it really is a staple in anyone’s kit. I like how long the handle is as I feel that I’ve got more control of the brush. Whether I hold it close to the soft bristles for precise application or towards the end for easy blending, it delivers and is so versatile.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
This is a little tube of wonder. I used the cream as a lip balm before sleep and to soothe my nail beds, which I bite continuously. I can honestly say that both are calm and hydrated, while smelling wonderful too! I found that a little does go a long way.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules
Another Elizabeth Arden gem. While its texture is incredibly silky, leaving a shiny glow, I felt that it allowed my skin to breathe and didn’t weigh down or clog my pores. I smoothed the last few drops onto my hands, which always get neglected!

Eylure C-Lash Eyelashes (type will vary)
I only wish I’d heard of these lashes when I lost my hair! This C-Lash is a godsend for people who aren’t used to applying falsies, or for people who have very little lash to begin with. They are so easy to apply, felt comfortable and lasted all day. They really added volume without being overpowering.

Balance Me Balancing Face Moisturiser
This is another product with a gorgeous scent. It’s beautifully lightweight and my skin didn’t feel clogged or sticky. I used this moisturiser after the Elizabeth Arden Cermaide Capsule, and my skin just loved it.

Morphe Eyeshadow Palette
I love the soft tones of this palette. I wore the “Velvet” shade the most out of the three, they blend really well, and give an easy, natural look. I’d been gifted a Morphe “Blush Trio” from a LGFB workshop, so I was thrilled to see this eyeshadow palette in my box!

What does LGFB mean to you?

LGFB-FEAT-CHARLOTTE-EMAIL-QUOTEInstead, I had a new set of skills and tricks for how to deal with these problems. When treatment made my days oppressive and dark, I’d think – on top of everything else – my skin is brittle and thin, my eyelashes have gone, and I’ve only got half an eyebrow left. Wait, I can actually DO something about it that I KNOW will make me feel better. Because those wonderful volunteers taught me how.

Out of the hundreds of things I had no control over, I could control these small yet significant things. I’m so proud to say that I still use their techniques. When I’m complimented on my make-up, I’m proud to say who taught me. When I decide not to wear make-up that day, I’m proud to know how to look after my skin. This invaluable experience helped me feel in control of a few little things, which made such a massive difference.

What were your top three products in the box?
