FOR THE LOVE OF HAND SANITISER
For a period of time around the outbreak of Covid-19, sanitising hand products became the gold dust of the beauty industry. In short succession, brands have risen to demand and have launched their own formulas. Salcura Skincare has created a new hand sanitiser that is kind to skin, despite usually eradicating alcohol from its products. Despite its high content of alcohol, the new product has been created to maintain a level of skin-friendliness and harnesses the powers of lavender and tea tree, which are natural ingredients that aid dehydrated skin. The brand is also sending batches of its Bioskin Zeoderm Skin Repair Moisturise to NHS workers to help protect their hands during this time.
One of our favourite tanning brands, Tan Luxe, has also introduced a new sanitising hand product, Hand-Luxe. This new addition has been formulated with ultra-hydrating hyaluronic acid and will be given away for free to those in need. The first batch of Hand-Luxe will be donated to beauty banks charity with the remaining units sent to causes across the UK, including NHS workers, care homes, supermarket staff and other key frontline workers.
FROM BLENDER TO BRUSH
beautyblender has announced its first collection of makeup brushes is now available in the UK at Selfridges. Created by brand founder and makeup artist Rea Ann Silva, some of these innovative brushes feature rollers at the end of the handles to combine skincare and makeup application. The lineup includes: Big Boss (powder brush and cooling roller), Shady Lady (all-over eyeshadow brush and cooling roller, High Roller (crease brush and cooling roller), Wing Man (curved eyeliner brush) and The Player (3-way brow brush).
Despite the current situation, brands are still helping us get our beauty fix. Lash brand Ardell has collaborated with drag queen icon Ellis Atlantic to create a limited-edition twin pack of lashes. The set features multi-dimensional volume and B curl lashes and is available from Superdrug.
NEW LEVEL OF BRONZE
NARS has announced its new Bronzing Collection, featuring shimmering accents, a new matte formula, and iconic Laguna in limited-edition formulas. The collection includes: Afterglow Lip Balm, Bronzing Powder in four shades, Matte Bronzing Powder in four shades, Paradise Found Bronzing Powder, Oil-Infused Lip Tint in Reef and Laguna and Mini Laguna Cheek and Lip Duo.
