ESTEE LAUDER GOES OUT OF THIS WORLD
Most elaborate photoshoot of all time? Maybe… Estee Lauder defied gravity by sending their iconic Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex into space! The company has been an industry leader in science and innovation for years, and is now the first-ever beauty brand to participate in NASA’s efforts to enable business opportunities on the International Space Station. Images of the photoshoot from the ISS will be shared on Estee Lauder’s social media channels.
KEYS SOULCARE IS COMING
*squeal* Alicia Keys has revealed more about her new beauty brand, Keys Soulcare, based on Keys’ skincare journey, and also her belief that beauty isn’t just skin deep, it’s about honouring a daily ritual and practising intention in every action we make. The line of skin-loving, dermatologist-developed, cruelty-free products has an authentic voice and an inclusive point of view, and we can’t wait for the launch!
KILLING EVE COSMETICS?
It’s the BBC series we all know and love, and the third season might be over, but you might be able to get closer than ever to your favourite Killing Eve characters if this news is anything to go by. A new licensing agreement between AMC Network, Sid Gentle Films and IMG will allow for the production of Killing Eve beauty items, along with fashion, travel and games too.
Sherikay Chaffee, VP of licensing, IMG, commended the show for its continued influence, saying, “Aside from being one of the most popular and loved shows on TV, it’s also one of the most clever and stylish. The dual aspect and opposing nature between its two lead characters can be used to tell a story about a product.” we don’t know about you, but we think a makeup line would be killer.
SUPERDRUG DOES GOOD
Cosmetics retailer Superdrug has announced the expansion of its donation network with Beauty Banks, an initiative that was first started in 2018, but has seen a surge of requests for a return due to the Coronavirus pandemic. There are now over 100 Superdrug stores nationwide with drop-off points, with personal care and hygiene products most requested.
