As a team of established beauty experts, we’ve got our fingers on the pulse when it comes to knowing the latest the beauty industry has to offer. Want to be kept in the know? The Trend Report is our weekly feature where we share with you the latest launches and news across the industry; from new product launches, beauty concepts and store launches to the latest trends you need to know about. So, what’s been trending in beauty this week?

Zoella has announced her debut collaborative makeup collection with Colourpop Cosmetics. With a theme and design based on brunch with your besties, the colour features 70’s design elements and perfect colours and formulations. The key focus of the collection appears to be the Brunch Date palette, which we’re totally swooning over. The collection will be available to buy online and on the brand’s website from 10 am (LA time) and 6pm (UK time) on 27 February.

There was a reason we entered Marc Jacobs Beauty into our Haul of Fame, and that’s because we’re pretty obsessed with the whole cosmetics line. For Spring, the brand has introduced new products to its collection (which we put to the test for our three easy eye looks post) including the Steel(etto) Eye-conic Multi Finish Eyeshadow Palette, Velvet Primer and Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in five new shades.

Duck & Dry Xpress launches

If you’ve been reading our blog for a while, you’ll know that we’re huge fans of the Duck & Dry hair salons. The ultimate destination for fast and stylish blowdrys has announced the launch of Duck & Dry Xpress, its new fast beauty concept that will launch in selective Primark stores, commencing with London’s Oxford Street store in March, followed by Birmingham in April. The new concept will offer blowdrys/updos, nails and eyebrow services.

Charlotte Tilbury has dropped yet another stellar palette for Spring 2019; The Icon. Inspired by icons that have shaped history wearing mesmerising makeup by using it as an armour and a power, this innovative launch delivers electric star quality in one single palette. It’s time to charge up your star power with 12 shadows that harness ‘wet touch’ powder technology, allowing you to wear the shadows dry, or wet for a more intense, creamy formulation. The shades are divided into four different eye looks: Day Eye, Date Eye, Diva Eye and Disco Eye, drawing inspirations from the likes of Cleopatra, David Bowie, Marilyn Monroe, Naomi Campbell and Salma Hayek. Charlotte Tilbury’s The Icon Palette is a limited edition and will launch online from 28 February.

There’s not a fragrance from Jo Malone we don’t like, therefore the new Wild Flowers & Weeds limited edition scent collection piqued our interest. Drawing inspiration from weeds, wild plants and flowers, Jo Malone’s Wild Flowers & Weeds collection features five fragrances: Nettle & Wild Achillea, Willow & Amber, Cade & Cedarwood, Hemlock & Bergamot and Lupin & Patchouli. This exclusive range will be available in March.
