Q
Tell us a bit about your blog and current content highlights...
A
Ellis Tuesday is and has always been a place for me to share the things that I've been loving, whether that be a new makeup release, a bargain that I found in the sales, a TV show that I've become obsessed with or where I'd love to head on holiday next. I've recently been sharing some how-to style blog posts, such as how to Spring clean your home/bedroom and how to budget for and save when it comes to your next trip and you'll always find my favourite beauty buys on my blog.
Q
How do you make your blog stand out?
A
I like to think that my photographs, especially when it comes to my travel posts, make me and my blog stand out, as does the way in which I write each post. I like to write as though I'm having a chat with one of my closest friends so hopefully that should come across to those reading and being active on Twitter, in particular, definitely helps to share and showcase my content with like-minded people.
Q
What's your go-to makeup look?
A
Lots of lashes, bold brows and a berry lip.
Q
Favourite discovery from your latest LiB box?
A
It's got to be the Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask. My forehead, in particular, can get rather dry so I'm always looking for new hydrating skincare products to try out and I was so impressed with the results after trying this mask. I'll definitely need to treat myself to more of them in the future.
Q
Your signature scent is...
A
Marc Jacobs' Daisy Dream. It's light, fresh and floral with a touch of fruitiness and it's the one scent that I always return to no matter what I test or try out.
Q
If you could curate your own dream beauty box, what would it include and why?
A
I think it would have to include those products that I use each and every day such as the brilliant Wet Brush, my beloved Benefit Rollerlash Mascara, Charlotte Tilbury Bitten Kiss lip liner (I love it even more than the famous Pillow Talk shade) and NYX butter gloss in Angel Food Cake. As a nail polish hoarder and a bit of magpie, there would need to be at least one nail polish in my beauty box, if not two; a classic colour and something sparkly. And I'd need to get some skincare in there too. Kiehl's Creme De Corps body polish is a game changer as is La Roche-Posay's Effaclar Duo + Unifiant.
Q
Any beauty sins?
A
As someone incredibly, incredibly pale, I definitely wore foundation that was far too dark for me in my early teens. Even though it was the lightest shade of Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse (hands up, who else used to wear it before they really understood makeup?), it was still about five shades too dark for me and left many an orange stain on my white school shirts, much to my Mother's dismay.
Q
Do you have a hidden gem in your beauty stash?
A
My holy-grail under-eye concealer and the one beauty product that I always recommend and rave about to others has to be the Makeup For Ever HD concealer. I don't think that Makeup For Ever get enough love in the beauty blogging community, especially in comparison to some other comparable brands. It's the one concealer that actually covers my dark circles without looking cakey or creasing.
Q
The blogger/YouTuber made me buy it...
A
It would have to be the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution. This was way back before I even had a blog myself and I remember every blogger and YouTuber that I followed raving about it one Summer. I even contemplated booking a trip to Paris solely to pick up a couple of bottles of this hyped beauty buy back before they started selling it here in the UK, which now seems more than a little ludicrous, especially now that micellar products are so widely available here in the UK now.
